Plant of the Day 1st June 2021

Zonartic Pelargonium ‘Lara Velma’. The Zonartics are the newest group of Pelargoniums officially recognised as a separate group in their own right. Introduced by the Australian Cliff Blackman these plants were the product of Cliff attempting to create the perfect yellow zonal type pelargonium. Although not bold yellow many of the cultivars have shades of pale yellow and have large individual florets on long stems that make them ideal as cut flowers. This is one of Cliff’s hybrids.
